Our story
It started with a desk and a doorbell.
Founded by Cory Brune in 2019.
"In 2019, the firm I worked for rebranded and shifted its focus to larger developments. That left a gap. Homeowners still needed good masonry, and they always will.So I branched out. I bought a desk on Marketplace, painted it black and white (yes, like an orca), and started Orca Masonry in my garage. It was just me, with business cards and flyers, going door to door one neighbour at a time.After booking those first few projects, I rented a small office on Quadra Street, painted the front in our colours and started hiring. One by one, the pod began to grow."
Then came a pandemic, rising interest rates and a few more curveballs. We weathered every one of them, and the pod kept growing. Today we're one of the leading residential and commercial masonry companies in Greater Victoria.
Our goal hasn't changed since that garage desk. We want to be a family-oriented business where everyone feels welcome and truly part of something great, and a company clients can trust for the best customer service and the highest quality workmanship.

Cory, the owner, is honest, polite, helpful and knowledgeable to name but a few. Our chimney was so badly deteriorated it needed to be rebuilt from the roofline up. The work completed by Orca Masonry is top-notch and their communication throughout the project was excellent.
